Where and how do I book a tour?

You may book a tour by clicking here. You will need to bring cash to pay for your tour when you arrive.

where can I park?

When you arrive at the Wonder House, please follow El Paso Trail down to the end and make a right onto the Wonder House property. Parking is located in the backyard and we kindly ask you to be mindful of others and our landscaping.

Where does the tour begin?

The tour begins on the southwest porch of the house (the Wonder House faces north). There will be a sign to direct youth the porch after you park.

How much does it cost to take a tour?

Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for children (up to 12 years old).

Do you offer any discounts?

Because this is a very small operation, no discounts are available.

How long is the tour and what will I see on the tour?

The tour lasts for 1.5 hours and you will see 3 floors of the house. On the tour you will learn about Conrad Schuck the builder, the history of the Wonder House, the old gadgets and inventions of the Wonder House and the process of restoration.

Is the house wheelchair accessible?

Due to the historic nature of the Wonder House, there is no elevator and it is not wheelchair accessible.

Can we purchase tickets at the door?

Tickets cannot be purchased at the door- you must book a reservation online in advance by clicking here. Space is limited on the tours and in order to best accommodate guests, all visitors must book online.

can I look around the gardens while I am waiting for my tour?

Guests do not have permission to walk through the yard without a tour guide. Guests waiting for their tour to begin must report to the southwest porch to check in.

WHEN WAS THE WONDER HOUSE ORIGINALLY OPEN FOR TOURS?

Conrad Shuck gave tours of the Wonder House from 1934 to 1963. Lucy DuCharme had it open for Christmas tours in the 80’s and 90’s.

Have you thought about weddings, events, an escape room, AirBnB, etc?

Yes, however currently unable to do so.

Are you going to put water back into the pond out front?

Yes! However due to the extensive repairs the moat needs, this will not happen in the immediate foreseeable future.

do you get any money from historical grants?

The house does not receive any local, state or government funding.
